MUARA, Tuesday, 22 February 2022 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a thanksgiving prayer ceremony on the eve of Brunei Darussalam’s 38th National Day celebration at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. Present as the guest of honour throughout the ceremony was the Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin.
In light of current COVID-19 restrictions, the ceremony was held in a hybrid manner with limited number of RBN Officers and ratings at Surau Al-Huda whilst utilizing video conferencing platform to accommodate the rest of RBN officers and ratings attending from their respective residences.
The event commenced with a recitation of Surah An-Nahl verses 90 to 95 by 52302 LsM Faaruq Al Muwaffaq bin Hj Marsidi from KDB DARULAMAN, followed by a series of religious activities led by Imam Faidil Rosemady bin Mohamad, Imam of Surau Al-Huda.
