BRUNEI MUARA, Thursday, 7 June 2018 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) took participation on the cleaning campaign at two mosques concurrently at Masjid Kampong Perpindahan Serasa and Masjid Kampong Kapok Kiri. This welfare activity has been carried out this morning in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ (RBAF) 57th Anniversary, the Royal Brunei Navy’s (RBN) 53rd Anniversary and to commemorate the holy month of Ramadhan.
145 RBN personnel from various departments of RBN were involved in the cleaning campaign. Leading the activity were Lieutenant Muhammad Arif bin Haji Tajuddin, RBN for Masjid Kampong Perpindahan Serasa and Lieutenant Shahrul Idham bin Haji Bungsu, RBN for Masjid Kampong Kapok Kiri.
The mosque cleaning campaign is an annual event conducted by RBN with the aim to inculcate the spirit of “working together” as well as the organiser’s way to give back to the community. It is also to encourage the importance of environmental awareness among the RBN personnel for the benefit of all.
