BRUNEI MUARA, Friday, 25 May 2018 – Officers and personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) came together to hold cleaning campaigns concurrently at Muslim cemeteries in Seri Pimping, Kapok, Kas Payau, Kg Tanjung Bunut, Sugan, Tutong and Kg Maritus Kambar, Kg Manggis.The events commenced with recitation of Surah Yassin, Tahlil, and Doa Arwah.
The cleaning campaigns are annual events conducted by the RBN in conjunction with the upcoming Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ 57th anniversary, the Royal Brunei Navy’s 53rd anniversary as well as to commemorate the holy month of Ramadan.
Aside from carrying out the civic duties of ensuring and maintaining clean cemeteries, the campaign is also intended to strengthen ties amongst officers and personnel of the RBN, as well as to enhance the spiritual well-beings of RBN personnel.
