MUARA, Friday, 6 July 2018 – Base departments of the Royal Brunei Navy held its annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering today at the Multipurpose Hall, Muara Naval Base. The event began with the presence of the Guest of Honour, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Pengiran Norazmi bin Pengiran Hj Muhammad, Commander Royal Brunei Navy (RBN). Also present were senior officers, officers and personnel of the RBN. This was followed by an interactive meet-and-greet session by the Guest of Honour with all members of the departments of the RBN base as well as personnel from the Technical Equipment Maintenance Department (TEMD) and Civilian Military Office (CMO).
The celebration featured an ‘Open House’ concept, serving menus offered by respective participating departments. Throughout the event, guests were entertained with live karaoke performed by the committees.
Primarily, this is the kind of event that brings the entire RBN together, even more so in this festive spirit of Aidilfitri. Personnel involved had the opportunity to meet and mingle amongst the base departments and fleet, uniting all members as a whole. Thus, this provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen existing bonds, mutual respect and cooperation within and between departments that has been nurtured throughout the years.
