RIMBA AIR BASE, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 – Seven personnel from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) led by Commander Shahairil bin Haji Mohd Shahlan, RBN joined a brief demonstration flight on board the US Navy’s Boeing P-8A aircraft at Royal Brunei Air Force’s Rimba Air Base.
In addition to this, the Royal Brunei Navy’s KDB BERKAT also had the opportunity to conduct Plotting Exercise (PLOTTEX) with the P-8A aircraft.
Previously, the aircraft was in Brunei Darussalam for the 24th Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) between Royal Brunei Navy and US Navy last year.
Both Royal Brunei Navy personnel and crew from the US Navy’s Boeing P-8A aircraft also had the opportunity to conduct Community Relations activity (COMREL) which involved cleaning campaign activities held at Muara Beach.
