2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) celebrated a significant milestone in its commitment to excellence and professionalism with an Officer of the Watch (OOW) Certificate Award Ceremony held at the RBN’s Officers’ Mess.



The ceremony was graced by the presence of The Acting Commander of RBN, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin who presented the certificates.



The Officer of the Watch Certificate is integral to the RBN’s operational capability, and equips officers with essential navigation and ship handling skills, ensuring the RBN’s operational readiness and effectiveness in maritime security operations.



During the ceremony, four officers were awarded their OOW certificates, a testament to their dedication, hard work, and resilience.



The RBN Officer of the Watch Certificate was awarded to
Lieutenant Junior Grade Abdul Hariz bin Amin, Lieutenant Junior Grade Bahrin Shah bin Behrom Shem, Lieutenant Junior Grade Rawandi bin Moksin and Lieutenant Junior Grade Ampuan Muhammad Nursyahmi Aniq Firdaus bin Ampuan Shah Mali.



This event not only represents a personal accomplishment for these officers but also reinforces the RBN’s commitment to developing a highly skilled and professional naval force capable of safeguarding the maritime interests of Brunei Darussalam.
