MUARA, Friday, 23rd October 2020 –
34 personnel successfully completed the 3 days
 Occupational Health and Safety Supervisory (OHS) Course series 01/2020 with the closing ceremony held at Briefing Hall, Multi National Coordination Centre (MNCC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).

Present as the guest of honor to convey the official certificate was Lieutenant Junior Grade Mohammad Amirul Azwan Bin Hj Dulah, RBN, Staff Officer Grade 3 Health, Safety & Environment of RBN Inspectorate Cell, RBN Inspectoral cells staff and personnel.

Out of 34 participants, 31 personnel are from RBN, 1 RBN Civil Servant and 2 religious teacher from Sekolah Ugama Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei. This course is jointly run by the Inspectorate Unit of RBAF and the Naval Inspectorate Cell and consist of 50% theoretical work and 50% practical whereby practical techniques, individual abilities and combine group work were assessed and taught.

The objective of the course is to provide knowledge on the roles and responsibilities of the OHS Supervisor and to deepen personnel’s understanding on the RBAF’s OHS Management systems and policy. Knowledge on hazard identification and control risk (Risk Assessment and Control Measure) were also taught. This is to avoid or minimize the risks consequently making hazards less susceptible at their respective departments.

All course participants are expected to apply their knowledge and to implement them at their respective workplace enabling a more healthy and suitable environment for all RBN as well as Civilian personnel to work in.

The ceremony concluded with a closing doa and group photo session.
