THREE SENIOR OFFICERS OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE 18TH EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
BOLKIAH GARISSON, Friday, 13 October 2023 - Three senior officers of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) have successfully concluded the 18th Executive Development Programme (EDP) for Senior Government Officials in Public Policy and Management. This programme was hosted by the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS), Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), in collaboration with the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) at the National University of Singapore.

NAVAL BASE, Thursday, 12 October 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held the Hajat
prayer, the recitation of Surah Yasin and prayer ceremony at Surau Al-Huda,
Muara Naval Base to seek for the protection from Allah Al-Mighty for the safety
of the Palestinian people and the country. This event was conducted
simultaneously with the involvement of military personnel and civil servants
from the Ministry of Defence at all suraus in Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF)
garrisons, bases and camps, including Masjid Pulau Baru-Baru.
FIVE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY OFFICERS GRADUATED FROM THE 13TH COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE
RBAF DEFENCE ACADEMY, Wednesday, 11 October 2023 – The 13th Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Command and Staff Course (CSC) concluded with a closing ceremony held at the RBAF Defence Academy (DA RBAF) in Kampong Tanah Jambu. A group of 35 officers has successfully completed this 40-week program. Notably, five (05) of the graduating officers were from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) of which Lieutenant Commander Mohd Hydzir Zuhdi bin Haji Sulaiman, RBN, was awarded the Commandant’s Award.
AL-FARUQ AND HER FIRST CREW ARRIVE IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 04 October 2023 – Following the Handing Over, Taking Over Ceremony held in Changi Naval Base, the newly transferred Patrol Vessel AL-FARUQ has arrived in Brunei Darussalam bringing home her first crew of 8 officers and 30 ratings captained by Lieutenant Commander Pg. Khairul Anwar bin Pg. Dr. Hj. Abu Bakar, RBN. AL-FARUQ’s arrival was received with a welcoming ceremony with Captain Haji Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Acting Commander Royal Brunei Navy, as the guest of honour. Also present were members of the RBN Executive Board, officers, ratings, as well as families of AL-FARUQ’s first crew.
EDUCATIONAL VISIT FROM SEKOLAH MENENGAH ARAB LAKI-LAKI HASSANAL BOLKIAH
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 03 October 2023 – A school visit from Sekolah Menengah Arab Laki-Laki Hassanal Bolkiah to the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) was conducted consisting of 114 students and 7 teachers. The tour commenced at the Dewan Nakhoda, Naval Training Centre where they were welcomed by Lieutenant Junior Grade Nur Syahiratul Zakiah binti Zakaria, RBN, Acting Second-In-Command Human Resources Office, where she delivered her opening remarks and a short introductory brief highlighting careers opportunity, roles and responsibilities in RBN.
SECOND PATROL VESSEL HANDING OVER, TAKING OVER CEREMONY BETWEEN REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE NAVY AND ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY
CHANGI NAVAL BASE, REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Monday, 02 October 2023 – The Second Patrol Vessel Handing Over, Taking Over Ceremony between the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) took place in Changi Naval Base. The ceremony marks the continuation of strong bilateral ties between the two navies and the completion of the Patrol Vessel Transfer project.
