2ND ASEAN NAVY TRAINING EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE PROGRAM CONCLUDES WITH CLOSING CEREMONY
GADONG, Thursday, 9th November 2023 – The closing ceremony for the 2nd ANTEEP was held at Jade Garden, Centrepoint Hotel, to mark the successful conduct of the program hosted by the Royal Brunei Navy from 6th November until 10th November 2023. Attending as the Guest of Honor was Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.
EXERCISE PELICAN 41/2023 BETWEEN ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY AND REPUBLIC SINGAPORE NAVY
Muara Naval Base (MNB), Thursday, 09th November 2023 – After an intense five days of discussions, planning and the subsequent execution, Exercise PELICAN 41/2023 concluded with a resounding success yesterday, 09 November 2023, with the departure of the RSN ships.
COMPLETION OF NAVAL DIVING COURSE – BASIC, BY ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY (RBN) PERSONNEL
MUARA, Wednesday, 08 November 2023 – The closing ceremony for completing the Naval Diving Course – Basic was held at Serasa RBAF Watermanship Complex. Six RBN personnel consisting of one Officer, one Senior Rate and four Junior Rates successfully completed the 7-week course of becoming Naval Divers.
THE 9TH NAVY TO NAVY TALKS BETWEEN ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY AND THE ROYAL MALAYSIAN NAVY
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 8th November 2023 – The 9th Navy to Navy Talks (NTNT) between the Royal Brunei Navy and Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) were held at Seminar Room, Minda 1, Wisma Perwira Angkatan Tentera Malaysia, Ministry of Defence, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia hosted by the RMN. Representing as the RBN Head of Delegation was Commander Mohammad Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, RBN, Chief of Staff, whilst the RMN delegation was led by Captain Mohd Husni bin Aris, RMN, Director of International Relations, RMN Headquarters.
ACTING COMMANDER OF ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY ATTENDS THE INDO-PACIFIC SEA POWER CONFERENCE 2023
INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, 07-09 November 2023 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), along with other navies around the world, gathered in Sydney, Australia for the Indo-Pacific Sea International Maritime Exposition 2023 from 07 November to 09 November 2023. The three-day event also included the Indo-Pacific Sea Power Conference 2023, themed ‘Fleet 2035: Sea Power and Future of Maritime Warfare‘ hosted by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). The theme encourages critical thinking about the role of sea power now and into the future. Additionally, the conference focused on the critical importance of the region’s waters and ocean that facilitate the global economy, including the unseen underwater data cables vital to the modern world.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY WELCOMES NEW FLEET COMMANDER
MUARA, Friday, 3 November 2023 – The handing over ceremony for the Fleet Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) between the outgoing Fleet Commander, Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, and the new Fleet Commander, Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN, took place in front of the Fleet Headquarters, Royal Brunei Navy.
