ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY HELD NISFU SYA’ABAN 1445 HIJRAH EVENT
MUARA, Saturday, 24 February 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) celebrated Malam Nisfu Sya’aban at Surau Al-Huda, RBN. Present as the Guest of Honour was Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, Acting Commander of the RBN. Also in attendance were RBN’s Board Executives members (BETL), senior officers, officers and personnel of RBN.
THE CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE BASIC CLERK COURSE SERIES 1/2023
MUARA, Thursday, 22 February 2024 – The Basic Clerk Course Series 1/2023 closing ceremony was held at the Nakhoda Hall of the Naval Training Centre (NTC). The guest of honour for the event was Lieutenant Dayangku Nur Bahirah binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, Executive Officer of KDB SYAFAAT. Also in attendance were RBN officers, chief clerks, instructors and senior ranks.
53rd PAKISTAN NAVY STAFF COURSE VISITS ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY
MUARA, Wednesday, 21 February 2024 – In a display of regional maritime cooperation, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted the 53rd series of the Pakistan Staff Course at the Muara Naval Base. Led by Commodore Mohd Amir Shahzad, the delegation included 12 Pakistani participants, seven foreign participants, and two facilitators. Commodore Mohd Amir Shahzad also paid a courtesy call to Captain Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy. The call concluded positively, with both parties expressing their commitment to further enhancing maritime cooperation and friendship between Brunei and Pakistan.
JS SHIMAKAZE AND JS SUZUNAMI OF THE JAPAN MARITIME SELF-DEFENCE FORCE CONDUCTED A GOODWILL VISIT TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
MUARA, Monday, 19 February 2024 – JS SHIMAKAZE and JS SUZUNAMI of the Japan Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) departed the Muara Commercial Wharf after a goodwill visit to Brunei Darussalam from 17 to 19 February 2024 led by Captain Yanagihara Makoto, Commander Training Division One, JMSDF.
PROMOTION CEREMONY OF FOUR ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY SENIOR OFFICERS
BOLKIAH OFFICERS’ MESS, Friday, 16 February 2024 – With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of four RBN officers were promoted today.
DOA KESYUKURAN EVENT TO COMMEMORATE HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCE HAJI AL-MUTADHEE BILLAH’S 50TH BIRTHDAY
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 16 February 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy held a Doa Kesyukuran event at Surau Al-Huda in conjunction with His Royal Highness Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah’s 50th birthday.
