ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY BEGINS DIKIR MAULUD
MUARA, Thursday, 08 November 2018 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held the opening ceremony of its Dikir Maulud celebration at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base. Present at the ceremony as guest of honour was the Deputy Commander of RBN, Captain Hj Othman Bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, RBN.
ACTING RBAF COMMANDER RECEIVED AN INTRODUCTORY CALL FROM THE DEFENCE ADVISER OF PAKISTAN ACCREDITED TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
MUARA, Tuesday, 06 November 2018 – First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received an introductory call from Commodore Ibrar Ishaque, the Defence Adviser of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan accredited to Brunei Darussalam today.
CLOSING CEREMONY FOR THE MIDSHIPMEN OF INTAKE 17 ‘SPECIAL-TO-SERVICE’ TERM
MUARA, Friday, 02 November 2018 - A closing ceremony for the Special-To-Service (STS) Course for the Midshipmen of Officer Cadet School (OCS) Intake 17 was held at Samudera Hall, Naval Training Center (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) at Muara Naval Base. The Guest of Honour for the event was Commander Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, RBN, the Commandant of Naval Training Center. Also in attendance were RBN officers, OCS officers and instructors, instructors of NTC and Royal Brunei Technical Services – Defense Council International (RBTS-DCI) staff.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY RECEIVES KDB DARUTTAQWA AFTER SIX-WEEK DEPLOYMENT
MUARA, Thursday, 01 November 2018 – Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) received the homecoming of KDB DARUTTAQWA after a month long deployment participating in a number of maritime exercises and engagements at various locations around the regions of Southeast Asia. Present to welcome back the ship’s company was Deputy Commander of RBN, Captain Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili@Suhaily, RBN. Also present to receive KDB DARUTTAQWA were senior officers, officers and RBN personnel, as well as families of those on deployment.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY AND REPUBLIC SINGAPORE NAVY CONDUCTED 37TH ITERATION OF EXERCISE PELICAN
28-29 October 2018 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) concluded their two-days bilateral exercise from 28 – 29 October 2018, code-named Exercise PELICAN 37/18. The objective of the exercise was to enhance interoperability between both navies as well as to foster good working relationship through the practice of standard operating procedures.
BEACH CLEAN-UP ACTIVITY BETWEEN ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY AND UNITED STATES 7TH FLEET P-8A MARITIME PATROL AND RECONAISSANCE AIRCRAFT CREW
MUARA, Sunday, 28 October 2018 – As part of the Community Relations (COMREL) program between the Royal Brunei Navy and the United States 7th Fleet P-8A Maritime Patrol and Reconaissance Aircraft (MPRA), 41 personnel and crew from both sides conducted a Beach Clean-Up activity coordinated by a local Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Green Brunei in Muara Beach.
