ACTING COMMANDER OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY ATTENDS THE 17TH ASEAN NAVY CHIEFS’ MEETING IN MANILA, PHILIPPINES
MANILA, PHILIPPINES, Friday, 12 May 2023 - The 17th ASEAN Navy Chiefs’ Meeting (ANCM), held from 8th to 12th May 2023 in Manila, Philippines, was hosted by the Philippine Navy (PN) and was attended by navy chiefs and representatives across all ASEAN member states. Along with the 17th ANCM, PN also organized a Maritime Security Symposium (MSS) 2023 and an ASEAN Fleet Review (AFR).
KDB DARULEHSAN RETURNS TO MUARA NAVAL BASE, BRUNEI AFTER IMDEX AND AIME 2023
MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 10 May 2023 – KDB DARULEHSAN has safely returned after completing a 14-day deployment to Changi Naval Base, Singapore to participate in the International Maritime Defence Exhibition (IMDEX) 2023 and the ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise 2023. KDB DARULEHSAN was received by Acting Commander Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman with a simple ceremony where the deployed officers and crew deboarded the ship and conducted Sujud Syukur as thanks and praise to Allah SWT for their safe return. The ceremony continued with Doa Selamat and Doa Kesyukuran.
KDB DARUTTAQWA AND KDB AFIAT SET SAIL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2ND ASEAN MULTILATERAL NAVAL EXERCISE (AMNEX 2/2023) AND THE ASEAN FLEET REVIEW
MUARA NAVAL BASE, MONDAY, 08 MAY 2023 – KDB DARUTTAQWA and KDB AFIAT set sail to embark on a 12-day deployment to participate in the 2nd ASEAN Multilateral Naval Exercise 2023 (AMNEX 2/2023) and the ASEAN Fleet Review (AFR) which will be held in Subic Bay in the Philippines from 11th to 16th May 2023.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY PARTICIPATES IN THE INAUGURAL ASEAN-INDIA MARITIME EXERCISE 2023 (AIME)
SOUTH CHINA SEA, 08 MAY 2023 – The ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise (AIME) 2023 was the inaugural multilateral maritime exercise between navies from ASEAN and India. KDB DARULEHSAN embarked on a 14-day deployment beginning on 27 April 2023 to participate in the Warship Display of the International Maritime Defence Exhibition (IMDEX) Asia 2023 in Singapore and set sail once again for AIME 2023.
ACTING COMMANDER RBN ATTENDS IMDEX ASIA 2023, 8th IMSC, AND THE INAUGURAL INDO-PACIFIC NEXUS INSITU USERS CONFERENCE IN REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE
THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Friday, 05 May 2023 – The Acting Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN was in the Republic of Singapore attending the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) Asia 2023 from 02 to 05 May 2023 at the Changi Exhibition Centre.
ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY PARTICIPATED IN 8TH MARITIME INFORMATION SHARING EXERCISE (MARISX)
CHANGI NAVAL BASE, Friday, 05 May 2023– Two (2) Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) officers along with the RBN International Liaison Officer (ILO) attached to the International Fusion Centre (IFC) attended the biennial Maritime Information Sharing Exercise (MARISX) from Wednesday, 03 May 2023 to 05 May 2023. The exercise was organised by Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) in conjunction with IMDEX Asia 2023 which involved about 100 personnel from 43 different countries. The attendees are comprised of international liaison officers (ILO) based in Singapore, members of shipping companies and other navies which represents subject matter experts on maritime threats in the regional and international maritime fora.
