MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 10 May 2023 – KDB DARULEHSAN has safely
returned after completing a 14-day deployment to Changi Naval Base, Singapore to participate in the
International Maritime Defence Exhibition (IMDEX) 2023 and the ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise 2023. KDB DARULEHSAN was received by Acting Commander Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Captain Khairil bin Haji Abdul Rahman with a simple ceremony where the deployed officers and crew deboarded the ship and conducted
Sujud Syukur as thanks and praise to Allah SWT for their safe return. The ceremony continued with
Doa Selamat and Doa Kesyukuran.
The successful completion of this exercise marked a significant milestone in the development of defence relations between ASEAN and India. A resounding consensus formed by the participating navies reaffirmed that the objectives of AIME were successfully achieved and which every participating ship had obtained high training value on top of confidence building between participating navies.
The Royal Brunei Navy is proud to have successfully achieved this mission and continues to strive to maintain and build upon friendly relations to contribute to the peace and stability of the region in line with the RBN’s mission of defending the maritime sovereignty and territorial integrity of Brunei Darussalam.
