MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 04 August 2023 – Naval Training Centre (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) conducted a religious course on
Penyempurnaan Jenazah (completing the rites of the deceased) from 31 July 2023 until 04 August 2023. Attending to present the completion certificates was Yang Mulia Ustaz Mas Ismandi bin Hassan, RBN religious teacher. The closing ceremony was held at the Surau Al-Huda, Royal Brunei Navy.
The course was taught by CPO Haji Johary bin Haji Mohd Salleh, RBN, from the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT). The course emphasized the requirements of when death occurs and provides an understanding in implementation of its completion rites. It also enables the participants to provide assistance if an actual incident occurs and to identify those who are capable within Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) for the purpose of funeral management.
The course was attended by 20 RBN personnel and 01 civil servant of Ministry of Defence. This course is planned to be extended for other military personnel to improve the general understanding and knowledge in the future.
