PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 2 November 2023 – The Range Management Course (RMC) Series 02/2023 closing ceremony was held this afternoon at the Cook House, Support Battalion, Penanjong Garrison. The RMC course consisted of 55 participants from various units of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), which includes two officers and three warrant officers from the Royal Brunei Navy. It was conducted from 07 September 2023 until 03 November 2023.

 

Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Mohamed Sufri bin Pengiran Haji Rosli, Chief of Staff Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). Also present were senior officers, officers and personnel from RBAF.

 

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Lieutenant Mohammad Azri bin Jasni as a representative from the course participants, followed by the reading of Al-Quran, Surah Al-Mujadalah verses 11-12 and remarks from Lieutenant Awangku Muhammad Faiq bin Pengiran Haji Omar, Acting Head of Department, Department of Small Arms and Heavy Weapons, School of Infantry, RBLF. It continued with the presentation of certificates and the awards of outstanding achievements in all assessment areas, including practical and theory. The ceremony concluded with the closing remarks from the Guest of Honour, recitation of the Closing Doa, refreshments and a group photo session.

 

The Best Theory was awarded to 1285 Lt JG Muhamad Nazirul Azlan bin Khalid, RBN, the Marine Engineering Officer onboard KDB DARUSSALAM. Meanwhile, the Best Practical Award was awarded to 18473 Sgt Mohammad Fariz bin Zamil, and the award for Best Overall went to 18415 Sgt Hilman Bahrin Rifaie bin Haji Mohamad Nasir.

 

The course trains and exposes the officers and seniors ranks as Firing Range Officers, especially in other areas related to administration, supervision, and invigilation at the firing range on different levels. ​​​
