MUARA, SUNDAY, 21 JUNE 2026 – The Royal Navy’s HMS SPEY conducted a three-day port visit to Brunei Darussalam from 21 to 23 June 2026, berthing at Muara Commercial Port as part of ongoing defence engagement between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) a​nd the Royal Navy. Upon arrival, HMS SPEY was warmly received by RBN officers and personnel led by Commander Khairul Anuar bin Abdullah, RBN.

Muara Naval Base, Friday, 19th June 2026 - The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) marked the arrival of Awal Hijrah 1448H through  two-phases of religious programme held at Surau Al-Huda, Muara Naval Base, and Masjid Setia Ali, Muara. The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, First Admiral Sahibul Bahari bin Hj Zainal Abidin, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, and attended by officers, warrant officers, and personnel.

RBN Officers’ Mess Hall, Tuesday, 16 June 2026 – The Fleet Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) delivered a leadership talk to the Fleet Officers from Lieutenant Junior Grades to Lieutenants of the RBN. The Fleet Commander highlighted the evolving demands of naval leadership and the importance of leading by example, supporting subordinates, and taking ownership of one’s actions. The session emphasised key leadership qualities such as accountability, integrity, responsibility, and proactive decision-making in shaping future RBN leaders.

MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 29 May 2026 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Korban meat distribution ceremony in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha 1447 Hijrah at Dewan Samudera, Royal Brunei Navy. The korban meats were distributed to Asnaf Fakir Miskin recipients as well as RBN personnel. The ceremony commenced with the congregational Fardhu Asar prayer followed by the recitation of Takbir Hari Raya Aidiladha at Surau Al-Huda.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, MONDAY, 25 MAY 2026 – In conjunction with the 65th Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Anniversary, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a religious ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum to recite Surah Yassin and Tahlil prayers. The ceremony was conducted to honour the late Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam; Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abd Rahman; and Al-Marhum Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Haji 'Abdul 'Azim ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah.​

FIBUA VILLAGE, TI RBAF, Monday, 18 May 2026 — A total of 42 personnel, including two officers, successfully completed the Base Defence Course Series 2026. The eight-week training programme, comprised both theoretical and practical lessons, culminating in a four-day final exercise aimed at enhancing the operational readiness and defensive capabilities of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel. The course was jointly organised by the Maritime Operation School and the Officer Career Development School (OCDS) at the Naval Training Centre.
