KDB DARUSSALAM, Thursday, 20 February 2025 - KDB DARUSSALAM held a dates distribution ceremony while on duty at sea for its officers and crew. The ‘Kurma Kurnia Peribadi,’ or dates bestowed as a personal gift from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, was presented in conjunction with Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah.
Present to hand out the ‘Kurma Kurnia Peribadi’ was the Commanding Officer of KDB DARUSSALAM, Lt Cdr Hj Mohd Arnold bin Hj Osman, RBN. The ceremony, conducted while the ship remained on duty at sea, carried deep significance as it reflected His Majesty’s care and blessings for The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).
In preparation for Ramadhan, Fleet RBN personnel will make necessary adjustments to their routines, including scheduling meal times around fasting hours and ensuring religious observances could be carried out despite the operational demands at sea. This demonstrates their commitment to both professional responsibilities and religious obligations, embodying the values of discipline and devotion.
