MUARA, Thursday, 4 April 2019 – In an atmosphere of commemorating the history of Isra’ and Mi’raj Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu’ Alaihi Wa Salam, the Royal Brunei Navy held a Celebration of Isra’ and Mi’raj 1440 Hijrah at Surau Al-Huda Royal Brunei Navy.
Present at the ceremony was Royal Brunei Navy Fleet Commander, Captain Zil Husam Bin Hj Abd Rahman as the guest of honor. Also present were Senior Officers, Officers and RBN personnel.
The event began with the recitation of the holy verses of Al-Quran, Surah Al-Israa’ verses 13 to 19, recited by 52477 Ls Abd Muiz Bin Alias, followed by the Maghrib prayer lead by Imam surau Al-Huda and recitation of Surah Yasin. A lecture in conjunction with Isra ‘and Mi’raj was delivered by Ustaz Muhammad Amin Bin Awg Hj Jali, Teacher of Berakas Camp which was then followed by Isya’ prayers.
The ceremony, among others, aims to provide awareness, admonition and appreciation of the importance of Solat in line with the theme of the celebration of the ‘Prayer for the People of Bertaqwa’. Also included is the story of the migration of Prophet Muhammad SAW and His sacrifice until Allah SWT elevates Nabi Muhammad SAW to meet with Him in Sidratul Muntaha.
The Isra ‘And Mi’raj Celebration councils are also simultaneously run at all RBAF Camps attended by Services Commanders and sub Unit Commanders.
