MUARA, Sunday, 31 May 2020 – The Royal Brunei Navy held a
Doa Kesyukuran ceremony at RBN Headquarters, Muara Naval Base in celebration of the 59th Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
Present as the guest of honour was Captain Pengiran Mohamad bin Pengiran Haji Damit, RBN, Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy. Also present were members of the RBN Executive Board (BETL), Senior and Junior Officers from the Royal Brunei Navy. The event was conducted in adherence to the rules and regulations stipulated by the Ministry of Health in prevention of COVID-19 transmission.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul ‘Istighfar followed by Surah Al-Fatihah, Surah Yaasin and Tahlil for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam – Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, as well as RBAF personnel who have passed on. The ceremony concluded with
Doa Tolak Bala and Wabak Penyakit as well as Selawat Syifa’. Other personnels were also encouraged to recite Yaasin and Tahlil simultaneously at their own residence to seek the mercy of Allah SWT and to bless the RBAF Anniversary this year.
The theme for the RBAF 59th Anniversary is “Bersama Menjayakan Wawasan Negara”.
