MUARA, Thursday, 30 May 2024 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony to mark the 63rd Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) at Surau Al-Huda, RBN. In attendance was Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Hj Zainal Abidin, Fleet Commander of the RBN, along with senior officers, officers, and ratings of the RBN.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Ali-Imran, verses 169-173, by 53980 Ordinary Rate Azmi bin Ahlimun, RBN. This was followed by the mass Maghrib prayer, Sunat Hajat prayer, recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil, and a Doa Kesyukuran led by Imam Afiq Abdul Halim bin Haji Danial Alexander Iskandar Zulkarnain. The ceremony concluded with mass Isya’s prayers.
Doa Kesyukuran ceremonies were held concurrently at all RBAF suras to seek blessings from Allah SWT for the organization’s success in defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity and upholding the constitution and the Malay Islamic Monarchy philosophy. This year’s anniversary theme is “Together in Accomplishing the National Vision.”
