MUARA, Thursday, 31 July 2018 – The Deputy Chief of Joint Staff of Southern Theater Command of the Chinese Armed Forces, Major General Chen Daoxiang and delegations made a visit to Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and made a courtesy call to Acting RBN Commander, Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, RBN.
During the call, the Acting Commander of RBN expressed his pleasure for the friendly defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the People’s Republic of China and stressed the importance to further strengthen the relationship in the future. Both sides also highlighted interest and support for more interaction especially between PLA-N and RBN.
Subsequently, Major General Chen Daoxiang and delegation had the opportunity to have a brief tour onboard KDB DARULAMAN, and was welcomed by the Fleet Commander, Captain Zil Husam bin Haji Abd Rahman, RBN.
The visit was concluded with the Commanding Officer of KDB DARULEHSAN, Commander Haji Edy Jofren bin Pehin Datu Panglima Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil presenting a plaque to the Deputy Chief of Joint Staff of Southern Theater Command of the Chinese Armed Forces.
