​​Muara Naval Base, 02 May 2024 – Commander Yawata Ryosuke, Japan Defence Attache accredited to Brunei courtesy visit to Acting Commander RBN, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN and Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN in separate Courtesy Call.

During their meeting, Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN and Captain Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, RBN took the opportunity to welcome Commander Yawata Ryosyke for his tenure as Defence Attache accredited to Brunei. Through this visit they hope it can strengthen the bilateral relations between the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force. The Acting Commander and Fleet Commander underscored the significance of the DA in enabling communications and valuable connections between Brunei and Japan, where Japan intend to expand their friendship through military exercises and bilateral relations collaboration.
Both parties expressed satisfaction and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering collaboration and defense cooperation as essential elements for enhancing interoperability and contributing to a peaceful and stable region.
