BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, 06 June 2022 - His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan And Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has conferred State Honorary Medals for the years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 to Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel in conjunction with His Majesty The Sultan And Yang Di-Pertuan Of Brunei Darussalam’s Birthday Celebration. The Conferment Ceremony was held at the Dewan An-Naura, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (R) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Defence II to present the State Honorary Medals.
A total of 63 Personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) were conferred with the State Honorary Medals where Yang Behormat Minister of Defence II presented Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) to 01 officer,
Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (P.I.K.B.), to 09 officers and 37 ratings,
Pingat Pahlawan Periwara, (P.P.) to 02 officers and 03 ratings,
Asgar Pahlawan (AP) to 07 officers and 05 ratings and
Penglima Lasgar (PL) to 01 RBN rating.
Also present at the Conferment Ceremony were the Commander of RBAF, Acting Permanent Secretary of Defence, Service Commanders and the Joint Force Commander, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Directors, Commandants, and Senior Officers of the MINDEF and the RBAF.
