BOLKIAH GARISSON, Monday, 26 November 2018 – First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, Commander of RBN received courtesy call from Rear Admiral Murray Joe Tynch, III, United States Commander, Logistics Group Western Pacific (COMLOGWESTPAC) Commander Task Force 73, Singapore Area Coordinator at the Ministry of Defense, Bolkiah Garisson. Accompanying Rear Admiral Murray Joe Tynch, III was Commander Lucas Barlow, Chief, Office of Defense Cooperation from the US Embassy in Brunei Darussalam.
During the call, both sides exchanged views and highlighted matters of common interest including matters related to naval cooperation and training as well as educational visits and courses, where both sides hoped could be further enhanced and developed. Both sides also discussed on potential avenues of cooperation that can be explored between both countries in the future.
After the courtesy call with the RBN Commander, COMLOGWESTPAC visited RBN at Muara Naval Base, commenced with Naval Training Centre and also had the opportunity to visit onboard KDB DARUSSALAM. The visit ended with a lunch hosted by Fleet Commander of RBN, Captain Zil Husam bin Haji Abd Rahman, RBN at RBN Officers’ Mess.
At the end of tour, a group photo session was taken before departing Muara Naval Base.
