MUARA, Friday, 1 September 2023– The closing ceremony of the Petty Officers’ Leadership and Management Course for Senior Ranks Acting Petty Officer Series 2023 was held at Serasa Watermanship Complex.
The guest of honor was Lieutenant Commander Mohammad Khairul Fadzillah Bin Hj Awg Roslan, Executive Officer KDB AS-SIDDIQ. Also present during the ceremony were invited RBN officers, Navy Acting Sergeant Major, Heads of Department of each member of their respective courses, and Instructors of Naval Training Centre.
A total of 30 participants attended the Petty Officer Leadership and Management Course Series 2023 for the rank of acting Petty Officer which began on 28 July 2023 until 01 Sept 2023. It is a mandatory and generic course in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) for acting Petty Officers in accordance with the structure and career development within RBAF. The course aims to instil in Petty Officers the abilities and qualities of leadership that would contribute towards the organization’s operational goals.
The Best Overall highest scorer in the Academic Award won by Petty Officer Md Asrol Azimi bin Hj Norsalam, RBN. While best improvement award goes to Petty Officer Md Jasazalandey bin Hj Md Jasminan and the final award was the Comandant’s Challenge cup won by syndicate 2.
In the closing speech, the guest of honour congratulated the participants on their course completion and urged the participants to apply the lessons learnt during the 5-week course to developing their leadership style. He also thanked the instructors who have ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the course.
