GOVERNMENT HOUSE, DARWIN; Thursday, 13 September 2018 – After two weeks of intensive realistic and challenging engagements from the air and the sea, Australia’s largest maritime exercise has finally ended.
A total of 23 ships, 21 aircraft, a submarine and 3000 personnel from 27 visiting nations have participated in this year’s Exercise.
The Guest of Honor for the Closing Ceremony was Northern Territory Administrator, Her Honour the Honourable Vicki O’Halloran. The Guest of Honour congratulated and thanked all the participants of EX KAKADU 2018 for their hard work and commitment into making the Exercise a successful one and hoped to see a more successful and larger participation from the visiting nations in EX KAKADU 2020.
Also present for the Closing Ceremony was Commander Sonny Iskandar bin Rasani, RBN, Commanding Officer of KDB DARUSSALAM, representing Brunei Darussalam for Exercise KAKADU 2018 as International Exercise Control Staff for this year’s Exercise.
