​MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 02 December 2022 – Twelve (12)
Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Personnel successfully completed
the Advanced Base Defence Course 2022 which was held over 4 weeks including a
 2-day exercise.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Commander Ahmad Afifi bin Haji Awang Antin, RBN, Officer Commanding,
Maritime Operations School
of Royal Brunei Navy.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and followed by a speech from the course’s representative. Highlights of the closing ceremony was the award presentation for the Overall Best Performance and Best Theory Skills to acknowledge their hard work and dedication toward the 4-week course. Leading Hand Mohammad Sabri@Mohammad Samrin bin Husin was awarded the Overall Best Performance Award and the Best Theory Skills Award was given to Leading Hand Alexzeiunda Sander. The Guest of Honour also presented completion certificates to all course participant and delivered his closing remarks.

Throughout the course, the participants learned to use the Individual Military Appreciation Process (IMAP),  Introduction to Signal/communications, duties as a Watchkeeper and a method of instruction called Explanation, Demonstration, Imitation and Practice (EDIP).
