BRUNEI – MUARA & TUTONG, Friday 3 June 2022 – The Royal Brunei Navy conducted a series of cleaning campaigns at Islamic cemeteries at several places in the Brunei-Muara & Tutong district followed by donations to the family members of late RBN sailors in conjunction with the 57th Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Navy.
The event was chaired by Warrant Officer Mohamad Zaki bin Haji Liadin, with the support of officers and ratings assigned to each place. Among the cemeteries that were cleaned included the Pulaie, Kianggeh, Telanai, Limau Manis, Putat and Telisai Islamic Cemeteries.
The event was conducted concurrently and began with the cleaning of the cemeteries followed by the recitation of surah Yaasin and tahlil together with family members of former RBN sailors who have passed away. The event concluded with donations that were presented to the family members of former RBN sailors in remembrance of their service.
