QINGDAO, CHINA, 22 April, 2019 – The Bilateral Meeting between Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Headed by Captain Pengiran Muhammad bin Pengiran Haji Damit, Deputy Commander of RBN and the Deputy Commander in Chief of People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy, Vice Admiral Qiu Yanpeng was held at the Function Room, Shangri La Hotel.
During the meet, both sides exchanged views and highlighted matters of common interest related to naval cooperation. Both sides also discussed on potential avenues of cooperation that can be explored between both navies in the future.
Deputy Commander of RBN expressed gratitude for the warm welcome of the PLA-Navy personnel and all the hospitalities provided to cater such big event in making sure everything runs smoothly.
In the evening, the opening ceremony and welcoming reception of the 70th anniversary of the Chinese PLA-Navy was held at the China Hall of the hotel, attended by all the Head of Delegations from over 30 Countries. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Commander in Chief of PLA-Navy, Vice Admiral Shen Jinlong. All personnel enjoyed dinner and meet delegation from other navies.
