BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 22 August 2019 – The Battlefield First Aid Course Series 02/2019 for military and civilian personnel from Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) ended today at Medical & Health Services, Combat Service Support , Royal Brunei Land Force (MHS CSS RBLF), Bolkiah Garrison.
A total of 15 personnel consisting of 13 personnel from RBN and two personnel from Technical Equipment Maintenance Division (TEMD) had completed the course and awarded as Qualified First Aiders for RBN and TEMD.
The course was conducted for four days which started from Monday, 19 August 2019 until Thursday, 22 August 2019. The course included theory and practical lessons such as bandaging, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and battlefield first aid.
The objective of this course was to understand the chain of survival and basic life-saving skills for different situations with the aim of applying first aid knowledge if personnel encountered any emergency situations in and outside camp.
