MUARA, Tuesday, 24 October 2023 – The Basic Base Defence Officers Course Series 02/2023 has completed the Obstacle Challenge where the participants teamed up with participants from the Advanced Base Defence Course. The course participants were tested with six different missions including establishing communications, log carry, sandbag carry, jerry can carry and knowledge on deception in warfare.
The objective of this Obstacle Challenge is to assess the course participants’ physical fitness and mental fortitude where they had to endure 8-kilometre route consisting of challenges testing their knowledge and strength that they have gained throughout the course. Most importantly the challenges are designed to push the limits on their leadership skills and the spirit of teamwork among the sections. It is also to prepare them for their final exercise in the following week.
The course participants were divided into three sections comprising of officers and Advanced Base Defence course participants. The winner of the Obstacle Challenge 2023 was Section 3 and the champion’s trophy was presented to the winning team by Base Defence Second-in-Command, LT Hj Muhd Faiz bin Hj Kudil, RBN
