MUARA, Tuesday, 28 May 2024—Three incoming defence attaches/advisers of Brunei Darussalam held a meeting with the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).

The meeting provided an invaluable opportunity to engage in constructive dialogue and exchange insights on various matters pertaining to defence strategy. The said defence attaches/advisers were Lieutenant Colonel Zulkhairin bin Haji Ibrahim, Defence Adviser of Brunei Darussalam to Republic of Singapore starting in June 2024, Captain Haji Nor Ariwwin bin Haji Mohd Ali, RBN, Defence Attache of Brunei Darussalam to the United States of America starting on 10 June 2024 and Commander Muhd Shahmun Azimin bin Awg Haji Asli, RBN, Defence Attache of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Indonesia starting on 16 July 2024.
The Acting Commander of the RBN congratulated the incoming defence attaches/advisers on their new responsibilities and shared pieces of advice to be utilized while carrying out their duties, drawing from his own experience serving as a Defence Attache in Beijing, China from January 2015 to December 2017.
The meeting session concluded with a commitment to further strengthen bilateral defence ties through continued dialogue, joint exercises, and capacity-building initiatives.
