TERUNJING, Friday, 15 Mac 2024 – Officers and personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Headquarters conducted a cemetery cleaning activity in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan 1445 Hijrah as well as to pay respects and prayers to dearly departed Royal Brunei Navy personnel buried at Tanah Perkuburan Islam Kg Terunjing.
The cleaning activity followed by the recitation of surah Yaasiin and Tahlil Arwah activity was led by Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Deputy Commander RBN.
Laid to rest at the cemetery were the late Allahyarham Corporal Alimahdy Sahrin bin Ali and Allahyarham Lance Corporal (L) Masri bin Haji Metussin.
Religious activities such as these are carried out annually and this is one of the charitable activities conducted in the holy month of Ramadhan. It is also to remember and Honour the contributions and sacrifices of the personnel who had served in the Royal Brunei Navy.
Activities such as these also encourage sailors of the RBN to perform good deeds, to enhance spiritual growth and to always instill Taqwa as one of Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ core values especially in this holy month of Ramadhan.
