MUARA, Thursday, 07 March 2024 – In keeping with a cherished tradition, the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) hosted a coffee morning gathering today at RBN’s Officers Mess.
During the coffee morning, Captain Haji Sarif Pudin took the opportunity to address the officers and highlighted the importance of maximising the holy month of Ramadhan with virtuous deeds as a means to seek forgiveness and mercy from Allah Subhanahu Wa Taala. Captain Haji Sarif Pudin also advised to take safety precautions when on the road during Ramadhan, considering that individuals may experience hunger and fatigue.
Additionally, today’s gathering holds special significance as the RBN celebrated its recently promoted officers, acknowledging their dedication and contributions to the organisation. The event also celebrated officers whose birthdays are in the months of January and February.
Furthermore, it marks the first time for RBN to host muslim international officers from Malaysia and Indonesia, who are part of the Sub-Lieutenant Course at the Naval Training Centre, who will be observing Ramadhan in Brunei Darussalam. The event allowed them to experience the unique traditions and camaraderie within the RBN during this sacred period.
