MUARA, Friday, December 8th 2023 – The closing ceremony and certificate presentation for the Operation Room Supervisor (ORS) and Qualifying Coxswain (QC) course 2023 was held at Nakhoda Ragam Hall, Naval Training Centre.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Commander Haji Mohd Arnold bin Haji Osman, Commanding Officer KDB DARUSSALAM.
Both the courses are mandatory for the RBN Senior Non-Commissioned Officers’ (SNCO) career and professional development. The ORS course equips course participants with the warfare knowledge as well as Command skills at the Combat Information Centre (CIC) in assistance to Principal Warfare Officers. While QC course equips course participants with the necessary navigation, ship handling skills and command knowledge, thus empowering them to become skilled coxswains and buffers.
The ceremony concluded with a recitation of the Closing Do’a and a group photo session with the Guest of Honour and Instructors.
A total of ten personnel participated in the ORS course and nine personnel participated in the QC course.
