MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 25 July 2023 – Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Acting Commander received a courtesy call by Mr. Chris Hunt, UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), Head of Partnering and Engagement, Asia Pacific. Also present were Mr. Steve Druce, UKHO Geographic Technical Lead for Asia Pacific, Captain Jonathan Caple, Royal Navy, UK Defence Adviser to Brunei, Mr. Morgan Kimber, UK High Commission Political Officer, the RBN Chief of Staff, Staff Officer Grade 3 Naval Research Cell and the RBN Assistant Hydrographic Officer.
During the call, Acting Commander RBN welcomed the delegation from the UKHO to Brunei Darussalam and highlighted the close friendship with the United Kingdom, especially between the Royal Brunei Navy and the Royal Navy. The call also entailed discussions on potential cooperation in terms of capacity building and capability development
