MUARA NAVAL BASE, Tuesday, 30 May 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the 62nd Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) at Surau Al-Huda, RBN. Present during the ceremony was Captain Khairil Hj Abdul Rahman, Fleet Commander RBN. Also present were senior officers, officers and ratings of the RBN.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-An’am, verses 81-83 by Able Rate Mohd Asmawi bin Yakub, RBN. The ceremony proceeded with a mass Maghrib prayer followed by Sunat Hajat prayer, recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil, a Doa Kesyukuran led by Imam Ak Yadiy bin Pg Sufriddin before ending the ceremony with mass Isya’ prayers.
Doa Kesyukuran ceremonies were held concurrently across all RBAF suraus. This is to seek the continued blessings from Allah SWT for the success of the organisation in defending national sovereignty, territorial integrity and upholding the constitution and the Malay Islamic Monarchy philosophy. The theme of this year’s anniversary is ‘Together in Accomplishing the National Vision’.
