MUARA, Saturday, 22 April 2023 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) began the morning of 1st Syawal with the recital of Takbir Hari Raya followed by mass ‘Aidilfitri sunnat prayer at Surau Al-Huda, Muara. This morning event was then followed by ‘Aidilfitri sermon, which was led and delivered by
Imam of Surau Al-Huda. Present during the event was
Yang Mulia Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, RBN, Acting RBN Commander.
Subsequently, Acting RBN Commander invited the congregation and the duty personnel on the first day of Syawal for a morning feast at Dewan Samudera.
The ‘Aidilfitri sunnat prayer is a prayer that is occasionally performed by muslims during the morning of 1st Syawal. It is a sunnah which refers to the traditional teaching and practices of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) to live a life that is in accordance with Islamic values.
