MUARA NAVAL BASE, Wednesday, 12 April 2022 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a ceremony to present donations to the Special Children’s Fund in conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1444H. The ceremony was held concurrently with the Mariner’s Club’s Iftar with Acting Commander RBN at Dewan Samudera. Also present were the RBN Executive Board, Officers and Junior Ratings of the RBN.
The donations were presented by Captain Haji Mohamad Sarif Pudin bin Matserudin, Acting Commander RBN and fellow members of the RBN Executive Board. The donations represent a collection from all RBN personnel. The ceremony continued with iftar followed by Mass Maghrib Prayers, Sunat Terawih Prayers and Tadarus held between RBN Junior Ratings and Acting Commander RBN.
The ceremony was held with the aim of raising awareness of RBN personnel to children of special needs and for them to enjoy the upcoming Syawal 1444H. The donations were presented in the form of cash donations, prayer mats, and school necessities.
