– The
7th Naval Working Group (NWG) between Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Indonesian Navy (IDN) was held virtually at the
Naval Training Centre (NTC). This year, the NWG was hosted by
IDN.

Commander Mohammad Azrin bin Haji Mahmud, Chief of Staff, RBN, was present as the Head of Delegation for RBN and Commander Eko Budi Prabowo, Staff Officer for Bilateral Diplomacy representing IDN as the Head of Delegation. Also in attendance were Colonel Doddy Suhadiman, Defence Attaché of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam, Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Aeddie Masjaffrie bin Pengiran Haji Md Jaafar, Defence Attaché of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of Indonesia, RBN and IDN officers.

During the video conference, discussions focused on issues of mutual interest and opportunities to build capacity through various engagement opportunities in exercise, courses and trainings as well as interactions and future collaboration activities between personnel of the two navies in addition to strengthening bilateral relationship between both navies.

The 8th NWG will be hosted next year by RBN.
