BERAKAS, Monday, 4 July 2022 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 17 Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) officers have been promoted in a ceremony that took place today at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison.
Present to award the new insignias was Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF.
The newly promoted officers comprised of 1 officer to Acting Commander (RBN), 6 officers to Substantive Lieutenant Commander (RBN), and 9 officers to Substantive Lieutenant (RBN). and 1 officer to Acting Lieutenant (RBN).
Also present were Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Deputy Minister of Defence; Service Commanders, Joint Force Commander, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Commandants and officers of the Ministry of Defence and the RBAF, as well as family members of the promoted officers.
