MUARA, Friday, 25 March 2022 – The Closing Ceremony of the Naval Diving Supervisor Course was held today at Dewan Nakhoda, Navy Training Center (NTC). The event was carried out in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and the Prime Minister’s Office.

Present as the guest of honour was Commander Saiful Hazril Bin Ali, the Commanding Officer of KDB DARULEHSAN. Also present were the Commanding Officer of the Naval Surface Action Group (NAVSAG), officers and other ranks from NTC and NAVSAG. 

A total of 5 personnel from NAVSAG attended the course. The course was held for 7 weeks; from 11th February until 25th March 2022.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Leading Hand Mohd Qamarulnursadiqin Bin Hj Hassan, followed by a speech from the course representative, Petty Officer Mohammad Aizuddin Bin Haji Saini. The ceremony was then followed by with a speech from the guest of honour and a certificate presentation to all course participants. The Overall Best Student Award was awarded to Petty Officer Muhammad Salihin bin Abdullah Hee @ Hee Kim Sin. The ceremony then ended with a recitation of a closing prayer and a group photo. 

This course was conducted for the first time in the Royal Brunei Navy, with the purpose to form and enhance deeper knowledge and understanding in the diving field as well as to produce diving supervisors in addition to being a mandatory course for promotion for personnel from NAVSAG.
