SAFTI MILITARY INSTITUTE, REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Sunday, 17 June 2018 – In the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratham, Officer Cadets Intake 109/17 Officers Cadet Course (OCC) were commissioned as an Officers of the Singapore Armed Forces.
The Commissioning Parade marks the end of the Intake 109/17 OCC for 52331 Midshipman Muhammad Adi Fakhri bin Johari, RBN. The long and arduous 38-week journey to Officership ended with a spectacular Commissioning Parade, held on the SAFTI MI Parade Square. The Midshipmen Course starts from Monday, 2 September 2017 until Sunday, 17 June 2018 the day in which all of them proudly commissioned. Mid Adi has been part of the 348 Officer Cadets and a total of 42 midshipmen were commissioned as naval officers.
Shortly after the arrival of the guest of honor (GOH), he received Salute and inspected the parade. The ceremony proceeded with a march past before the GOH delivered his speech. He congratulated all Officers Cadet who were commissioned as officers who had been exposed to military training, with the aim of equipping them with knowledge, faith and leadership skills.
The parade then proceeds for a farewell slow march. The ceremony ended with a meet and great, and dinner with the GOH.
