Doa Kesyukuran ceremony was held at the Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers, and Petty Officers Mess, Muara Naval Base in celebration of the 55th Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Navy.
The event was attended by the Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Haji Suhaily as the guest of honour of the ceremony. Also present were the members of the Royal Brunei Navy Executive Board (BETL), senior officers, officers and navy personnel of the Royal Brunei Navy. The event was conducted in adherence to the rules and regulations stipulated by the Ministry of Health in prevention of COVID-19 transmission.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam – Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, as well as RBN personnel who have passed on.
The ceremony ended with the recitation of Doa Tolak Bala, followed by recitation of Selawat Syifa’, and the recitation of Surah Al-Asr and Tasbih Kaffarah. Other RBN personnel were also encouraged to hold the doa kesyukuran ceremony within their respective departments to seek mercy and blessings from Allah Subhannahu Wata’ala.
