MUARA, Wednesday, 13 November 2019 – First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily, Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) received an introductory call from His Excellency Christopher B. Montero, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Republic of The Philippines at RBN Headquarters.
During the introductory call, Commander RBN congratulated His Excellency Christopher B. Montero on his appointment as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam. Both sides exchanged views and highlighted matters of common interest where both sides hoped to strengthen naval ties and defence diplomacy between Brunei Darussalam and The Republic of The Philippines through port visits, exchange programmes, bilateral and multilateral maritime exercises.
The introductory call was concluded with gift exchanges between Commander RBN and His Excellency Christopher B. Montero. His Excellency Christopher B. Montero presented his letter of credence to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 18 September 2019.
