BERAKAS GARRISON, Saturday, 26 October 2019 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Inter-Services Golf Tournament 2019 was held at the RBAF Golf Club, Berakas Garrison today. This year’s Inter-Service Golf Tournament was organised by the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN).
Attending the tournament as Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Second Minister of Defence. Also in attendance were Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of RBAF, Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, RBAF Service Commanders, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Directors, as well as Senior Officers, Officers and Personnel from MINDEF and RBAF.
Five teams from MINDEF, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), RBN, Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and a combined team from the Training Institute RBAF (TI RBAF) and Defence Academy RBAF (DA RBAF) participated in this year’s tournament.
The RBLF emerged as the champion for this year’s RBAF Inter-Service Golf Tournament with MINDEF coming in second and the RBAirF finishing third. The group prizes were presented by the Second Minister of Defence while Commander of RBAF presented prizes to the Novelty and Individual Category winners.
