BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 13 June 2019 – A recital of Surah Yassin and Tahlil Ceremony for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, AlMarhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman was held this morning in conjunction with Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) 54th Anniversary.
The religious ceremony was held at the Royal Mausoleum Building was intended to seek mercy and blessings from Allah Subhannahu Wata’ala upon the departed father and mother of His Majesty the Sultan Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
The event was attended by the Commander of RBN, First Admiral Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili @ Suhaily, senior officers, officers and navy personnel of RBN. Recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil was led by Ustaz Muhammad Rafiuddin bin Hj Md Ali, religious teacher from Naval Training Centre, RBN.
The recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil at the Royal Mausoleum is a yearly tradition for the RBN. Such religious practice demonstrates our continuous devotion to Allah Subhannahu Wata’ala and to maintain our determination to the national philosophy of Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB).
