MUARA, Thursday, 11 April 2019 – Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi Bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Second Minister of Defence conducted his working visit to the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) at the Muara Naval Base.
Accompanying the Second Minister of Defence were Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Defence, Haji Mohd Zakaria bin Haji Sarudin, the Deputy Permanent Secretary and Haji Amiruddin bin Haji Mohd Hassan, the Deputy Permanent Secretary.
The visit commenced with a welcoming speech by First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Muhammad, the Commander of RBN at the RBN Headquarters, and followed by the briefing by Captain Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily, the Deputy Commander of RBN where he presented on the recent RBN’s achievements, future RBN transformation plan, the challenges and also the current status of RBN’s resources and assets. The briefing continued with a ship visit onboard KDB DARUSSLAM, a visit to the shiplift alpha, the weapons workshop and the Integrated Weapons Complex.
