LANGKAWI, MALAYSIA; Monday, 25 March 2019 – The patrol vessel of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) KDB DARUTTAQWA arrived at Langkawi, Malaysia on the 25th March 2019 to participate in the 15th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2019 (LIMA‘19).
Captain Haji Othman bin Suhaili @ Suhaily, RBN, Deputy Commander of the RBN led RBN’s delegation to LIMA ‘19.
During the official visit in Langkawi, KDB DARUTTAQWA participated in various activities organized by LIMA ’19. These include, amongst others, the International Fleet Review which was observed by Yang Amat Berhormat Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, sea exercises, cultural exchange programmes, cross visits to ships, sport events and seminars.
This official visit marks a significant milestone in RBN’s effort to further enhance multilateral ties and defence cooperation between the RBN and other navies.
