MUARA, Monday, 10 December 2018 – The Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Captain Hj Othman bin Hj Suhaili@Suhaily, RBN received a courtesy call from Rear Admiral Muhammad Ali, S.E, the Governor of Indonesian Navy at RBN Headquarters. Also present were Commodore Irwansyah, Commandant of Sea Battle Task Force of First Fleet Command, Defence Attache of Republic Indonesia in Brunei Darussalam and also the ships’ Commanding Officers from the Indonesian Navy.During the call, the Deputy Commander of RBN congratulated Rear Admiral Muhammad Ali S.E for his recent appointment as the Governor of Indonesian Navy and expressed his warm welcome for the goodwill visit of the Indonesian Navy ships in Brunei Darussalam. He also added that the Indonesian Navy ships presence in Brunei Darussalam is important and indicates the warm relationship between the two countries. Rear Admiral Muhammad Ali, S.E also expressed appreciation to RBN for the hospitality and welcoming the delegation and their ships to Brunei Darussalam.
During the goodwill visit, the Indonesian Navy will also hold a passage exercise with RBN to establish interoperability between the two navies.
